A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited to the Not On The High Street wedding showcase in London. All sorts of wedding bloggers and creatives were there to take part in inspiring workshops and see all the wedding deliciousness NOTHS has to offer.
Colour was definitely king – whether it was summer brights, pops of pastel, or glimmers of gold. Each area was styled beautifully by the team at Knot & Pop who totally transformed Clifton Nurseries for the day.
The welcome drinks were displayed in a vintage cabinet styled by Palais Flowers with fresh blooms and foliage. Nothing like a glass of fresh juice to set you up for a day of Instagraming! I hope putting up all these posts gains me a few more followers, but there are many more organic techniques I could use to get them. You may want to try some for yourself, look at ideas for your instagram bio maybe? Just as a starting technique. Eventually, you could try out a growth service to really give your presence and reach on your social media platform of choice a kick in the right direction. Doing so could help you grow your instagram followers which, it is hoped, will drive engagement with your posts too.
It was particularly exciting for me because my close friend and business partner Helen Hopkins, of Pudding Bridge, had some of her own gorgeous creations on show including these alternative chair decorations.
The day was broken up by two super fun and informative workshops. The first, hosted by Little Stamp Store, had us creating our own crafty wedding invitations. Perfect for couples who want to create their own stationery with a little DIY twist! The second workshop was on brush lettering and was led by The Lovely Drawer who made something very difficult look so easy! Definitely can’t wait to get my inks out and start practising this technique. So pretty!
And of course there was food and drinks galore with the most fabulous lunch and tea laid out for us and a cocktail making session with Gin Tales!
Thanks so much for having me NOTHS! It was a wonderful day and I’m excited to see what other wedding loveliness your suppliers come up with in the future!
