The Little Wedding Tweet Up’s are for anyone in the wedding industry but especially for those of us who are self-employed. They give suppliers the opportunity to get together, celebrate their successes, and build relationships within the industry. It can be very lonely working from home and the Tweet Up’s aim to fight that feeling of isolation.

Since starting the Tweet Up’s at Goldbrick House I’ve gone on to organise similar wedding networking events at Thornbury Castle, @Bristol, and The Battleaxes. I’ve been organising the Tweet Up’s for 5 years now and in that time a number of other suppliers have started their own in different regions across the country. I love that all over the place there are groups of wedding suppliers getting together and supporting each other so if you’re not local to the South West have a look around – there just might be a gathering for you!

If you’d like more information about when and where the next Tweet Up will be visit the The Little Tweet Up Facebook page. See you at the next one!

Little Wedding Space – I have been organising Little Wedding Space with photographer Ruth Garner since 2013; a space for suppliers to share their amazing services and products. We wanted to create a space where couples have the opportunity to browse gorgeous products and services, meet with the suppliers, and most importantly plan their wedding in a relaxed and stylish environment. It also gives us the chance to collaborate with suppliers whose work we love and wish more people knew about.

The first Little Wedding Space was so successful that we organised a second, and then a third. We don’t plan on stopping any time soon!

You can find out about past Little Wedding Spaces and when we’ll next pop up over on the Facebook page.

The Wedding Sessions, a wedding training course for anyone starting out on their own small business journey, was founded in 2014 by myself and Emma Woodhouse, The Wedding Reporter. These informal work shops aim to help develop and indulge your creative ideas, enhance your presence online, understand the importance of marketing and networking, and give you lots of little lightbulb ideas that will help you stake your place in the wedding industry. Some past attendees have shared a little about their experience so if your curiosity is piqued why not read more about HelenFranky, and Jenny’sexperiences.

‘The Wedding Sessions course was a true godsend for me. Having just decided to start my sample wedding dress business, I was completely unaware of the diverse and inspiring range of people and businesses who make up the wedding industry. Kirsten and Emma really know their stuff, run incredible businesses themselves and genuinely want everyone to succeed and flourish. I was gripped from start to finish! I still refer to my Wedding Sessions bible and will definitely be attending any follow-up courses they have’ – Laura at Bristol Bridal Boutique
